Bachelor Pad, Photos, Newbro's Herpicide Ad, Pillows, 1907-14 Interior RPPC

Description

This card measures approximately 3-3/8 x 5-3/8 inches, the usual size of Velox cards.
We measure all cards to the nearest eighth of an inch.
Real photo of the busy interior of a bachelor pad. Photos and pictures are scattered across the floral wallpaper. Behind the young man at left are various decorated pillows, including one that says "FOR HE'S A JOLLY GOOD FELLOW" and includes a spread of playing cards at upper right. Above the pillows is a risque advertisement that shows a buxom woman in a thin dress that's barely holding on. She is pouring the contents of a bottle onto her hair. At the bottom of the ad is printed "A Herpicide Girl". Newbro's Herpicide was a questionable dandruff product. At far right, the mirror on the chest of drawers reflects a brighter view of one of the walls. Handwriting on the back says the two young men are cousins and gives their names.
