For bid is an original copyright 1913 Miami, Florida real photo postcard of a WHALE SHARK on display on a HUGE wooden cart with eight wheels!  Two young children are straddling the shark just in front of its dorsal fin.  This photograph was copyright by Chas. (Charles) Thompson, Miami, Florida, 1913.  According to some information I found, this was the largest fish EVER caught!  Charles Thompson was captain of the Florida ship from which the giant shark was caught in the Florida Keys...  Shark was supposedly caught in the summer of 1912.  This postcard was published by Underwood and Underwood of New York.
Postcard was never mailed.  Really good condition.  Has been well-preserved.
